So I officially graduated with an MA in animation from the Royal College of Art this week. I feel so relieved that I am all finished with a new short film. Now I have a bit more time on my hands I have re-opened my shop. This month I am lucky enough to have my work featured in three magazines. I was very quietly stoked when I picked these up this morning.

In Computer Arts magazine you can see stills from my film 'Howard' in an article on female animators, and Howard is also included on their complimentary DVD.

In Oh Comely magazine you can read an interview with me alongside illustration work.

And last but not least Nylon has done a feature on The Working Proof Gallery and has featured my illustration for them in the article.

Treat has a show coming up at the Etsy Labs in Berlin. I'm so excited about this! Unfortunately I have too much work on to make it out there myself but I'll be making things for the exhibit from the UK.

We're making some new work for it under the general theme of Mazes. Its going to involve wooden sculptures of many varieties mixed with video projections. Along with that there'll be prints to buy and also the launch of our new publication 'Unaired Pilots' which features work from both family and friends (more on that soon).

The show starts on the 17th Sept and runs for 6 weeks, so come along if you can and we'll all party in Berlin.

"A sensitive, imaginative and well-balanced animation, Howard has my winning vote. It offers a personal approach to the theme of the ‘end of love’, supported by original visual ideas. We get thrown into the emotional portrait of this apparently unlikely couple. The design and voice-over have a recognizable British feel about them. A few weeks ago I received a parcel from the states including googly eyes, plastic animals, glitter, and a bottle of malibu rum. What an ace suprise to get in the post (FYI Malibu rum and Lilt go very well together). I was asked by Greatworks to 'curate' a bottle of Malibu Rum for their new 'Malibu by U' Range. I dutifully covered mine in as much plastic animals and glitter as possible. This is just a little information and a little pencil work from my new film (ETA mid May now). I'll be in New York from 30th May to 25th August (fingers crossed I'm allowed to fly over!) and I will be closing my etsy shop, or honing it down to the bare minimum (tote bags, zines) for that 3 month period. So if you want to buy anything up make sure you do it before those dates! Popped along to the V and A Quilt exhibition yesterday and among so of my more traditional designs there were also some ridiculous animal ones and epic ships and battle scenes, it was ace, highly recommend it. I'm starting to think a lot about patterns, map making and geometric shapes..might start experimenting.

So I hand in my first year film on tuesday..i've been living in a hermit like state these last few months but hopefully it will be worth it in the end. Here's a rough drawing from the first scene..his name is howard. The film will be out on the 1st of may. My etsy shop will be re-opening on the 23rd of march and shortly afterwards there will be giveaways, original artwork and brand new items galore. Bat for Lashes

Last night was the one and only screening of the co directed visuals by myself and Robin Bushell for Bat for Lashes. Our animation screened at Bexhill's famous De laWarr Pavillion as a special one off set by Natasha who covered songs by the Cure, Radiohead, Sonic Youth and Nina Simone with a live string quartet. The animation comprised of stop motion photographs with intergrated animation, it was the first time i've worked in live action and I loved it. It was so so very ace to be involved in such an amazing collaboration..and hopefully more to come when she gets back from jetting to South America with Coldplay...lucky thing. More pictures and footage to come in the next week or so.

Finally got a chance to upload an extract from my work on the Decemberists Visuals, and also a 5 day lipsync workshop we had at the RCA earlier this month..I didn't get it as finished as I would have liked with the time allowed but here you go..
